Carol Strock Wasson

Union City, Indiana

"I have participated in many plein air events, but this one has always been one that I wanted to do. I was so honored to be invited to participate as an artist for Florida’s Forgotten Coast en Plein Air 2022. The fantastic organization of the event, the beautiful landscape, the coastline, and the opportunity to paint with some of the finest plein painters from across the country make this one of the best.  It’s like winning the plein air lottery. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for plein air and capturing the light of the landscape in Florida's beautiful forgotten coast."

Carol Strock Wasson, a signature member of American Women Artists, Pastel Society of America, a Master Pastelist member of Chicago Pastel Painters, recently achieved master circle status with the International Association of Pastel Societies. My Philosophy

I live to paint, and I paint to live. I am committed to sharing the beauty and permanency of the pastel medium. Many people think that pastel is delicate and dainty, not in my world, I use brayers, sticks, razors, brushes, and anything I can think to use. Pastel is a versatile medium that will outlast every other medium.
