    Meet the Florida's Finest en Plein Air Artists, as well as the winning Quickdraw Artists who have works in the Quickdraw’ Gallery upstairs at the historic Center for History, Culture and Arts building in downtown Apalachicola.  All paintings are for sale, and refreshments will be served. Tickets are $20 per person, please register online.

    Stop in at the historic Apalachicola Center for History, Culture and Art after the Plein Church on Sunday morning, to hear a presentation by Kathleen Hudson. Kathleen is new to Forgotten Coast en Plein Air and brings a brilliant new perspective.

    Kathleen says, "A powerful landscape is more than just scenery—it’s transformative for the viewer. Since before the days of medieval pilgrimage, people have journeyed to particular places in hopes of drawing their eyes outwards and upwards and finding renewal." Kathleen Hudson will share a personal view into the landscape’s deeper significance through the prism of plein air painting.

    Artists will be painting around the working waterfront in Eastpoint and Thomas Jefferson Kitts will be the featured artist at this reception.  Come meet the Thomas and the other artists and see their work! The reception is held on the back deck at Lynn's Quality Oysters, overlooking the bay.  Artists will have their work on display, and be ready to discuss.

    Artists will be painting along the Marine Street Riverwalk along the working waterfront in Carrabelle.  After the demonstrations, Shelby Keefe will be the featured artist presenting her work at the reception. Come meet Shelby and the other artists and see their work! The reception is held at the Rio Carrabelle Gallery.  Artists will have their work on display, and be ready to discuss.

    The Gala is held on Friday night this year, May 11, and is open to all Collectors. Collector packages can be purchased on the Collectors page.

    On this special night, the artists will be displaying all their paintings from the week, including their selections of their best work.  The artists vote on the Artists' Choice award painting at this event, and the winner is announced during the evening. The Artists' Choice painting is traditionally purchased by the FCCC board for its permanent collection.

    Stop in at the wet room in The Joe Center for the Arts, check out the Small Painting Sunday exhibit and listen to Vicki Norman's presentation on color perception. Vicki will cover perception and interpretation of color for artists, and I’ll include lighting and presenting artworks in a sympathetic way for collectors.
